The Making of BlakRoc.

...Shout-outs to the Peeps at ATCN:

Over the past few months there have been countless videos popping up across my beloved interweb featuring the newest flag waver for unity Dame Dash. Dash seems to repeatedly feel the need to enforce the fact that he has far from fallen off and continues to be a successful business man. If this BlakRoc project is anything to go by, the man could be onto something. Corny name aside, dude really has a stellar line up of artists including the resurrected and re-named Nikki Wray who was one of the many victims of the Rocafella break up (pour out some liquor for Rell and Allen Anthony) It would seem as though Mr.Dash is really going in.

Tinie Tempah. "Pass Out". [Video]

Hey World:
-Well Really the US, and that's the problem. We need to expand our horizons from our NY and LA shore-views until they cross the oceans and pick up on some new material in foreign nations. That's what happened to me two summers ago when by way of chance i found out about Tinie Tempah. the UK Grime Scene seems to be growing bigger every day and is starting to make some noise - they just need a push to break into the US Hip-hop Monopoly. So here's the New Single-turned-Video from Tinie Tempah, From shore to shore. Enjoi!

FLashBacK: "Air Born"

One of my Fav artists with one of my Fav videos for 2009....The Kid Daytona ft. Bun-B. When I watch it, I keep thinking, "damn, Africa can get UP!" Props to his hops.
....only thing missing from the video is Spike Lee, LoL.
- here are some words about the video from the man behind the scenes, Derek Pike:

Last week I shot the Air Born video for The Kid Daytona featuring Bun B. The beat which is produced by 6th Sense has this real mellow floaty vibe to it so I knew I wanted to shoot the majority of this video with someone or something floating in midair. Since shooting in outerspace wasn’t in the budget, I had to settle for NYC. Luckily, Daytona knew someone here on earth that could defy gravity for us, EBC star Africa. We shot the whole video at a little park downtown, no permits. Aside from having to work around screaming kids at camp, and a basketball leagues scheduled game everything went surprisingly smooth. Daytona and Bun B are two of the nicest and most laid back artists I have ever worked with. Shout outs to the Three/21 fam Rik, Nancy and Steve, Jamal, Owen, Jordan at Sneaktip, Dan, Evan, and of course Daytona, Bun B, 6th and Africa.

Omen. "Delayed."[Mixtape]-Sampler

Ripped this from NahRight:

"... This isn’t the same Omen that produced “Overdose On Life” last year and “Shut It Down” for Thank Me Later. This Omen is a part of J. Cole’s camp and was the only (real) feature on this summer’s The Warm Up:

Heather posted his sampler and included this message from him:

I really want you to digest it and listen and hopefully feel something afterwards. It’s been a long time coming, and the mixtape is on the way shortly after this. Thank you for riding with me."
